Bob began his business career in 1976 as a sales entrepreneur in the financial services industry for the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was recognized by his agency as the new sales associate of the year and achieved national recognition by qualifying multiple times for the Million Dollar Round Table. While in sales, Bob qualified for many company and industry honors such as the National Sales Achievement Award and National Quality Award. Coaching and mentoring new associates was his most personally rewarding endeavor.

Bob was responsible for the recruiting, selection, training and development in local agencies. He was also the VP for training and development for both agents and managers with the Connecticut Mutual, Mutual of Omaha, and The Principal Financial Group. Bob truly embraces the principle of life-long learning. During his most recent corporate position with LUTC, Bob was responsible for developing curricula and delivering it to over 20,000 salespeople annually. This included the creation of an online training center and a custom operation to better serve the needs of their clients.
Bob enjoys public speaking and has done so along with workshops and custom designed programs on the topics of Leadership, Goal Achievement, E-Learning, Call Reluctance, and various training the trainer to train topics. In addition he is a regular contributor to Advisor Today Magazine and has also written articles for the GAMA News Journal and other industry publications.

When not coaching, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, reading, bicycling, kayaking, and roller-blading. Bob also volunteers as a Docent at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., and would invite any of his clients to a special VIP Highlights tour of the museum, when visiting the Washington, D.C. area. In addition, Bob volunteers to tape record articles from the Air and Space Magazine through the Smithsonian’s Voices to Access program.
