Brad Davidson is President
of Securities Pricing And Research, Inc.
Since 1991 SPARDATA has evaluated thousands of non-traded
securities worth millions of dollars for owners, CPAs,
attorneys, government institutions and many of the
nation's largest financial service firms.
He is a recognized expert in the valuations field.
Organizations which have invited Mr. Davidson to lecture
including the Internal Revenue Service, the Securities
and Exchange Commission, the North American Securities
Administrators Association, the Department of Labor,
the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council,
the Federal Reserve, the Michigan Bankers Association,
the Virginia Bankers Association and the American
Society of Pension Actuaries. The Company's valuation
reports have been cited on numerous occasions by the
Wall Street Journal as well as other publications.
A 1977 graduate of St. John's College, Mr. Davidson
has worked on Capitol Hill for a United States Congressman
(1977-1980); as a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch (1981-1983)
and with Prudential Bache (1984-1986), where he was
promoted to Vice President/Investments. In 1986 he
formed the predecessor firm to SPAR. Until 1991 he
engaged in a broad range of partnership related activities;
since then SPAR's sole business has been the production
and sale of valuation reports.
Mr. Davidson lives in Annapolis, Maryland with his
wife and two children. He is a Captain in the United
States Army Reserve. In 1981 he became the youngest
person ever elected to the Annapolis City Council;
he was reelected without opposition in 1985. In 1987
Governor William Donald Schaefer appointed him Chairman
of the State Commission on the Capital City, a position
he continues to hold. In addition, Mr. Davidson is
a Director of Microsemi Corporation of Santa Ana,
California, a publicly-held manufacturer of electronic
products; and serves on the boards of non-profit organizations
in Maryland and New York.
In December 1995, Mr. Davidson was featured on two
20-minute segments of "Skylink", a broadcast
educational service beamed to over 600 community banks
by the American Bankers Association. In the first
segment, he discussed valuation regulatory requirements.
The second segment covered technology solutions to
the problem.
Background in the Securities Industry.
Mr. Davidson began his career in the securities industry
in 1981 as an Account Executive with Merrill Lynch,
Pierce, Fenner & Smith in Annapolis, Maryland.
In 1983 he joined Prudential-Bache Securities as an
Associate Vice President, Investments. In 1984 he
was promoted to Vice President/Investments. At both
Merrill Lynch and Prudential-Bache he specialized
in direct participation programs including real estate,
oil and gas, and equipment leasing partnerships.
In 1986 Mr. Davidson left Prudential-Bache in order
to form Securities Pricing And Research, Inc. ("SPAR"),
and to engage in a broad range of partnership related
activities.
Expert Witness. Mr. Davidson has
been recognized as an expert witness by the National
Association of Securities Dealers arbitration boards;
and has provided expert testimony in a variety of
disputes.
Active in the Community. Mr. Davidson
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from St.
John's College in Annapolis, Maryland in 1977. He
is a Captain in the United States Army Reserve and
presently serves as Chairman of the State Commission
on the Capital City, to which he was appointed by
the Governor of Maryland. He previously was elected
twice to the Annapolis City Council, serving from
1981 to 1987.
In addition, Mr. Davidson served a Director of Microsemi
